Welcome to my new blog "Breathe Creative.” I have thought about creating a blog for years and here I am finally doing it! My plan for this blog is to share creative ideas and how you can connect to the Heart of God through creativity.
As a Creativity Coach, one of the most common statements I hear from people is "I am not creative!" and my answer is "Yes you are! You have the Creator inside of you and He is as close as your breath. You just need to know how to recognize and tap into God's creativity."
Perhaps you like to plan parties or decorate. Have you ever thought about writing or maybe a podcast you might like to share? Not all creativity has to be in the arts either. Consider that you are creative in other ways like baking, teaching, in a business or even in relationship building. The list is endless. I like to say if God gave you the idea, it's in you to bring it!
Some of you know my story about how I got started with creating with God through my paintings. I would have never thought of myself as an Artist, not ever! Sure, I was crafty, I could create wreaths, crochet and that sort of thing but having an art business? No way! Over the years, I attended paint and sips where my Artist friends tried to teach me how to paint. I was always the person raising my hand asking for help and feeling like my work was just so-so. lol So when the Lord started talking to me about painting, I was like WHAT???
And so it started, I created one painting called Enter into His Presence by just listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit as He taught me how to paint. I put on some worship music and just had fun without worrying about the end result. For the first time ever, I started to really recognize the voice of God as He taught me how to paint and 2.5 years later, I am still creating with Him. Most recently, He gave me ideas for a clothing line for women called Walking In and soon I will be carrying items for men!
The point I want to make here is that God has all of the ideas for you and once you learn how to recognize His voice and have fun, He will make a way for you to create with Him!

Don't be surprised if He gives you crazy ideas with something you have no experience in, He does that all the time! He loves to surprise us & anoint us and when we do it His way, we can't fail!
